Expert Bio

A native of Cuernavaca, Mexico, Arianne Gandy moved to the United States in 2015 to continue her academic studies in North Carolina and later on in Washington, DC. She is currently a senior at the Elliott School of International Affairs pursuing a degree in international affairs with concentrations in international politics and Latin America. Through her academic coursework she has explored topics such as democracy and democratization in Latin America, the nature of social and political movements in Chile, contemporary issues of US-Mexico relations, and the development of transitional justice efforts in Mexico, among other subjects. Arianne is also completing a degree in post-modern dance and choreography. She is fluent in French and is planning to learn Russian in the near future.
