Project Summary

From the times of democratic revolutions in Central and Eastern Europe civil society has become one of the most widely used ideological slogans in the agenda of post-communist transformation. Democratic anti-totalitarian movements in the 1980s and 1990s effectively used the slogan of civil society for ideological justification of their struggle against pro-Soviet totalitarian regimes.
