Patrick Kornegay, Jr. is a US Teaching Assistant with Fulbright Austria in Linz, Austria. He recently received his MA at The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs and studied abroad at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany. His research focused on Europe and Eurasia in the realm of international security and diplomacy. He was also a writer at the International Affairs Review at GW, writing on memory politics, intelligence estimates, soft power, and far-right extremism. For his MA thesis, Patrick researched the German-Russian relationship since the early 2000s, focusing on Germany's Zeitenwende in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Patrick earned his BA in Political Science with a German minor at the University of Connecticut. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, attending networking events, trying new foods, listening to podcasts, and practicing his German wherever he can.
