Péter VÁMOS is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of History of the Research Centre for the Humanities, Budapest, and Associate Professor of Chinese Studies at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, Budapest. His research focuses on the modern history and international relations of China, especially the relations between China and the Soviet bloc. Among his most recent publications are Magyar–kínai kapcsolatok, 1949–1989 [Hungarian–Chinese Relations, 1949–1989] (Budapest: L’Harmattan – Károli, 2020); “The Soviet Bloc and China’s Global Opening-Up Policy during the Last Years of Mao Zedong”, in James Mark et al.
