Eslam A. Hassanein is an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Politics and Economics- Beni Suef University- Egypt. In 2012, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences (FEPS)- Cairo University; majoring in Economics and minoring in Statistics. In 2016, she obtained her master's degree in finance from FEPS- Cairo University. She is also currently pursuing a PhD at FEPS- Cairo University. She worked as a Research Assistant on a variety of research projects at Zayed University- Abu Dhabi between 2013- 2021. Moreover, she has been nominated by the Egyptian ministry of planning to join the Young Economists Network (YEN). She is shortlisted for the 3rd Women in Research Forum, University of Sharjah, in 2022. She has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests focus on environmental economics, climate change and economic development.
