Eduardo González Pier, is currently the team lead for UK Prosperity Fund sponsored Better Health Program in Mexico, non-resident Fellow at the Centre for Global Development in Washington DC and a partner of Blutitude and Innovasalud, a healthcare advisory firm based in Mexico City. Formerly, he held the positions of Undersecretary of Health for the Federal Ministry of Health, Executive President of the Mexican Health Foundation - Funsalud, and CFO of the Mexican Institute of Social Security. He sits in the boards of several companies and foundations. With over 25 years of experience in the health and social security sectors, he has contributed to the development of health policy in Mexico, including major reforms, from varied high-level positions. His work focuses on providing sound evidence and analysis to inform policymaking and promoting mechanisms and tools to improve health system performance. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago.
