Expert Bio

Lt. Colonel (ret.) Daniel Rakov is an expert on Russian policy in the Middle East and great-power competition in the region. He is a senior researcher at Tel Aviv University’s Elrom Center for Air and Space Studies, Tel Aviv University, and at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS). He served in the Israeli Defense Forces for over 20 years, mainly in the Israeli Defense Intelligence.
