Cheri Ayers is a former Communications Coordinator with the Wilson Center Africa Program and where she served as the copyeditor of the Africa Up Close blog and project lead for Africa Program's publications including Africa: Year in Review. She obtained a Master of Mass Communications from Louisiana State University with an emphasis in Strategic Communications. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Graphic Communications (Art) from the University of Southern Mississippi. Cheri’s multifaceted experience as a creative includes design, advertising, social media management, and copywriting. Her inspiration as a creative is to promote awareness about Africa, namely its innovations in the art, design, and digital content spheres, globally.
