Great Wall of Steel: China's Global Campaign to Suppress the Uyghurs
The Wilson Center is pleased to announce the publication of Bradley Jardine’s Great Wall of Steel, the most comprehensive study to date of the Chinese government’s pursuit of Uyghurs beyond China’s borders. The groundbreaking data set and narratives that Jardine has collected map out the global scale of China’s prosecution of Uyghur and other non-Han peoples of Xinjiang, making clear that, horrific as the detention centers are, we must view the issue through a much wider lens.
