Expert Bio

Mónica Salazar holds a J.D. from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education and an LL.M. in Human Rights from the University of Melbourne. She is co-founder of the Institute for Women in Migration and has worked with several other organizations including Sin Fronters IAP, Infancia Común, and the Pan American Development Foundation. Since 2007 she has led the Collective Against Human Trafficking most recently serving as the organization’s President. Currently she is a Human Rights Consultant specializing in Human Trafficking. She is an author and co-author of various publications dedicated to the topic of human trafficking, having provided workshops, seminars, and training sessions for organizations in Mexico.
