Mr. Zhang Boju is an environmentalist in China with rich experience directing NGOs in the country of spectacular economic growth and unprecedented environmental challenges. Boju is currently CEO of Friends of Nature (FON) , the first green NGO in China, work to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water and safe food. He develops and carries out strategies for FON programs on Environmental Public Interest Litigation, Policy Advocacy, Information Disclosure and Public Participation.
Boju is the board member of the Environmental Public Relations and Strategic Communications Institute of Ministry of Ecology and Environment. He was the youth advisor for United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP).
Boju has a Masters degree in Social Science with an emphasis on Politics and Public Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He won the Ray Dalio Scholarship and pursued Executive Leaders in Philanthropy program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2017.
