Benoît Pelopidas is a lecturer in International Relations at the University of Bristol and an affiliate of CISAC, Stanford University. His research investigates the effects of particular understandings of nuclear history on the framing of current and future nuclear weapons policies, with particular foci on French nuclear history, the international network of experts trying to make sense of the thermonuclear revolution in the 1950s and 1960s and the notion of global nuclear vulnerability. He received a Ph.D. in politics from Sciences Po (Paris) and the University of Geneva.
