Last year the La Jolla Conference went tieless, this year we are going virtual.

Due to travel and meeting restrictions to manage the Coronavirus, the XXIX La Jolla Conference will break new ground as a weeklong virtual conference.

The conference will offer high-level policy and investment discussions focused on the key trends and outlook for the energy sector in Latin America.

We have much to discuss this year with the implications of the Coronavirus but also the massive shock to the global oil market and its impact across the hemisphere. What do these issues mean for Latin America? What are the policies governments should be considering for the “day after?” What does it signify for the energy transition?

We will mix analysis and discussion of these critical cross-cutting themes together with our usual country-focused panels.

The Wilson Center's Mexico Institute is pleased to co-host the conference's "Mexico Day" on Friday, May 22, 2020.
