Ambassador Roundtable: Reflections and Recommendations on U.S.-Ukrainian Relations
With the Obama administration entering its second term, and Ukraine entering its third decade of independence, it is an appropriate time to step back from the news of the day and take a broader perspective on Ukraine’s history since independence. It is difficult to understand the challenges and opportunities that are present in the U.S.-Ukraine relationship without a sufficient understanding of how that relationship has evolved over two decades. This panel of former U.S. ambassadors to Ukraine will draw upon their experiences with Ukraine to reflect on our bilateral relations and recommend future directions for U.S. policy.
